The Bishop Auckland and Shildon AAP has funding available for not-for-profit organisations and groups to support projects that address our priority of ‘Thriving Communities’, and we would like to invite organisations and groups to submit potential project proposals based on the themes highlighted below.
- Health and wellbeing: improving mental and physical health as well as building the confidence of individuals.
- Employability and training: including volunteering, upskilling and entrepreneurial activities.
- Increasing household income: activities including debt and benefit advice.
- Tackling inequalities including food poverty and social isolation.
- Civic Pride and enhancing community resilience.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and there may be other issues that need to be taken into consideration.
AAP funding should complement existing provision and look to engage with partners and stakeholders to add value to local delivery.
Funding can be applied for either capital or revenue funding (or both),and projects which include a specific element of capital spend are encouraged. Match funding is expected and will be looked upon favourably. A minimum of £5,000 funding can be applied for. If you need advice on the specific definitions for capital/revenue, please get in touch.
A maximum grant amount per project has not been set but every application will need to show that project costs have been costed and calculated and represent value for money.
