Auckland Moors U14 Girls continued their unbeaten run in the Russell Foster League, with a 6-0 win over Darlington Young Bulls recently, reports club chairman, Lee Costello.
Auckland Moors started well with goals shared by Emily, Erin D and Alisha in the first half.
These were followed by further goals from Erin H, Hermani and Charlotte C before the final whistle.
An impressive performance in the Auckland Moors goal also ensured that a clean sheet was maintained.
Stand out displays in defence from Ella as well as in midfield from Emily, resulted in them each receiving player of the match awards.
The result now leaves the team in 4th place in the league, with three games in hand over leaders Newton Aycliffe.
Auckland Moors next play away to Velocity Diamonds at Downhill sports complex, as they look to improve their league position further, despite the recent bad weather and waterlogged pitches which have caused several matches to be postponed until later in the season.
