Are you connected to Shildon’s past?

The Heard not Hushed Collective are looking for great characters for the kits to meet.

Did you, or a member of your family, work in the railway works, the mines, the fur factory, or have links to the Railway Institute? Have you been involved in a trade union, community organisation, club or collective group, either in the past or today?

If so, The Heard not Hushed Collective would love to hear from you.

“I am working with a group of Shildon’s young people to create a new theatre show exploring the theme The Past We Inherit, The Future We Build. The young people are collecting stories, memories and experiences from local people to help shape the production.”

They would like to interview local residents at the Railway Institute on:
Wednesday 8 July, 5.30pm-7.00pm
Thursday 9 July, 5.30pm-7.00pm

“The interviews will be informal, friendly conversations and will be audio recorded with your permission.

“If you’d be willing to share your memories and help inspire the next generation, please get in touch or come along on the day.

“Thank you for helping us preserve and celebrate Shildon’s stories.”
