Ferryhill Station’s streets were buzzing with energy and civic pride this week as the Primary School’s Ambassadors for Community Change took action against a persistent local nuisance: dog fouling.
With Glenys from Approach Too and the ever-inspiring Amy the Neighbourhood Warden by their side, these young changemakers rolled up their sleeves and hit the back lanes with purpose. Their mission? To make Ferryhill Station cleaner, safer, and prouder, one pavement at a time.
Dog Fouling? Not on Their Watch!
Armed with bold, friendly pavement stencils and stickers, the Ambassadors reminded residents to pick up after their pets. Their message was clear: no child should have to dodge dog mess on the way to school, and no neighbour should have to tiptoe through it on their doorstep.
Dog mess isn’t just unsightly—it’s a genuine health hazard. Here’s why it matters:
