St Mary’s Under 14 Angels hosted Washington Lionesses at King James School in the semi final of the Russell Foster League Cup recently.
The girls won the match 5-0, making it to their second consecutive league cup final.
This time the Angels will meet Lumley Ladies, who narrowly defeated Seaton Carew 1-0 in their semi-final match. Player-of-the-match went to Shannon Reed, who was outstanding from start to finish.
The U10 boys played away at Seaton Carew and, after losing 3-1 to them three weeks ago, gave a much improved team performance to come away with a draw.
St Mary's were unlucky not to take all three points with the whole team being awarded MoM.
The U11 Aces won 8-2 away at Marton B. The goalscorers were Tom Aldsworth(2)Aaron Willoughby, Lewis Pearson, Luke Penberthy, Ben Shaw, Jake Ellison and Curtis Layfield.
The MOM award again went to the whole team.
The U11 Kings played Spraire Lads away and drew 3-3 in a very exciting game. Goalscorers were MoM Liam Robson (2) and Jack Glasper.
The U12s lost 4-1 against Stockton, with Carl Stout scoring and Aidan O'Hara MoM.
The U11 Kings also had a great 4-1 away win at Kader, with goals from Charlie Ellison, Jai Aldus and Liam Robson with Lewis Poppleton MoM.
The U12s had an excellent win away at Northallerton with a hat-trick from Carl Stout and a goal from Ryan Watson securing the 4-2 win.
The U13s won 3-1 away at Nunthorpe, with goals from Michael Hull, Ellis Tait and Jordan Wintersgill.
The U14 Kings kept up their unbeaten run in the league so far this season to stay top with a 5-1 away win at Thirsk. Callum Blades was MoM.
The U16s played Marton FC for the second time in a month, winning 1-0. MoM went to Lewis Milner.
