Tudhoe & Spennymoor History Society Talk – ‘The Stockton & Darlington Railway of 1825 – the railway that got the world on track’

Caroline Hardie, an archaeologist and trustee of the Stockton & Darlington Railway, will be the guest of honour at the next meeting of Tudhoe & Spennymoor History Society.
Caroline’s talk will be titled, The Stockton & Darlington Railway of 1825 – the railway that got the world on track. The Bicentenary and beyond.
As the title describes, the talk will outline the history of the railway as well as looking to the 200th anniversary celebrations next year and the plans for the future.
The meeting takes place in St. David’s Church Hall, Tudhoe Lane on Monday 24 June.
Refreshments are from 7pm, with the talk to start at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome.
