Victoria Jubilee Junior Parkrun and Go Well CiC are incredibly proud to have been recognised as HIGHLY COMMENDED at the School Games Impact Awards in the Engaging Stakeholders category.
This award was presented by Paul from Go Well who submitted a report explaining the impact that the Junior Parkrun has had on the local community through their engagement with local schools in Spennymoor.
Named “Park Fun at Park Run”, the report demonstrated the development of activities which engage a wide range of key stakeholders, including families, to advocate for the value of the School Games and demonstrate its healthy impact on the lives of children and young people.
The award was presented to Matthew on behalf of all the volunteers, as without them, this event would not be able to go ahead. Week by week they create an atmosphere that makes juniors want to return and get out and about in a way that they want to.
