Local Spennymoor distance runner Cameron Allan took another step to achieve his athletics goals when he represented Great Britain for the first time.
He ran the University’s Cross Cross Country World Cup in Aviero Portugal and faced competition from 19 other countries including Morocco, Uganda and Australia.
The measure of Cameron‘s performance was shown when he finished first GB runner, 5th European and overall 11th place which is the highest GB Male finish since 2010.
Cameron ran the 10k course in 28 minutes 47 seconds.
