Tickets for the Ferryhill Senior Citizens Trip, organised by Ferryhill Town Council will go on sale on Monday 15 June. This year, the trip will take place on Thursday 23 July. The destination for the trip will be South Shields. South Shields was chosen when the results of a questionnaire completed by people attending the 2025 bus trip demonstrated a preference to visit the seaside town in 2026.
Residents wanting to attend the trip are invited to pick up tickets from Ferryhill Town Hall from 10.00am on Monday 15 June. Tickets will be made available to residents at a cost of £5.00 per ticket for Senior Citizens (66 & over) and £7.50 for adults and children.
Coaches for the trip will meet in Ferryhill Market Place from 9.30am and will leave for South Shields at 10am. Tickets must be shown prior to boarding the buses.
Coaches will leave South Shields for the return journey to Ferryhill at 5.00pm and will drop off at various points on the main bus route around the Town.
It is expected that tickets will sell out very quickly for this trip, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
