Shildon Youth Under 15s produced their best performance of the season to follow up last week’s 8-1 victory at home to Eaglescliffe to hammer current Div 5 league leaders Sedgefield 10-1 on Sunday on their new pitch at the BR.

The game was played in glorious warm conditions whilst the pitch had a damp surface which allowed for some magnificent football.

Noah McCourt latched onto a through ball in the 10th minute to calmly finish low past the despairing keeper.

Two minutes later, Mason Quinn added the second with another cool finish from inside the box.

Sedgefield clawed themselves back into the game in the 18th minute with a close range header which even Higham could not keep out.

But after this Shildon took full control, knocking the ball around in magnificent fashion, which has been a feature of their play in the first two games on their new home pitch.

Shildon simply tore apart their opponents with further goals from Steven Dawson (3) Kai Jordan Watson, Adam Campbell and Adam Nodding, while Noah McCourt added a futher two to complete yet another hat-trick (his fourth in only six games.)

It was another outstanding performance and a joy to watch. Man-of-the-Match was Kai Jordan Watson.
