Bishop Auckland U13’s continued to show how far they have come this season in a highly entertaining match, with both sides looking to attack at every opportunity; resulting in a game that produced ten tries in total.
Alex Bielby, Sam McIvor, Sunny Maan and Lloyd Purserv of the Bishops U12’s side stepped up to fill in the gaps left by absence due to the bank holiday weekend.
Bishop always looked dangerous with strong running from Nathaniel Walton, James Scrivener and Luke Handley; supported by winger Dan Woods working hard to secure the ball at the break down.
Bishop took a 22-0 half time lead through a Josh Dewhurst hattrick and a try by Craig Robertson.
Strong defence from Matthew Dockray, Liam Stephen and Dryden Rutter limited the Chester fight back, before tries from Rhys Jary, Purser and a second from Robertson increased Bishop’s lead.
Jary scored four conversions to leave the full time score 43-17 to the home side.
