The 3 Roosters are cycling 85 miles for Quinn’s Retreat

The trio take on the grueling challenge on May 10.

On Sunday 10 May, Eric Stapleton, Michael Fitzgerald, and Michael Brown will be taking part in the Etape Caledonia — an 85‑mile cycling event on closed roads through the stunning but demanding Scottish Highlands.

The route must be completed in under eight hours and includes two major climbs: Trinafour (374m) and Schiehallion (382m). It is recognised as one of the toughest sportives in the UK, making this challenge a true test of strength, stamina, and determination.

They are raising funds for Quinn’s Retreat, a charity based in Shildon, County Durham. Quinn’s Retreat provides free respite breaks for people who have been bereaved by suicide. Their peaceful caravan retreat offers families a place to rest, reflect, and recover in a supportive environment during extremely difficult times. Their work makes a real difference to the mental wellbeing of those who need it most.

“We would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor us and help support this important charity.”

“Also, there is a charity collection box on the counters of Corner Café Shildon and Mike’s Fish Bar Newton Aycliffe

“Thank you very much, Eric, Michael and Michael”
