Deputy Mayor of Bishop Auckland, Cllr Adam Zair, was delighted to open ML Hair Studio in Bishop Auckland last week, reports Yvonne Hawkey.
Michaela Lumley, owner of ML Hair Studio Ltd, has taken her business from strength to strength and as a result has moved to new larger premises in Fore Bondgate, Bishop Auckland, alongside beauty business Beauty Within with Vicky.
Deputy Mayor Zair said: “I am delighted to see another small independent business thrive in Bishop Auckland.
“All too often we criticise that there are no shops left in the town, but Michaela and her team have worked tirelessly to grow the business and as a result have moved into new larger premises to keep up with demand.
“Fore Bondgate is a hidden gem in the town and it is important we get behind and support our independent traders.
“I am honoured to be cutting the ribbon and wish Michaela and all the staff every success in the future”.
The ethos of the salon is sustainability.
Michaela said: “Sustainability is at the heart of our business.
“We use only eco-friendly products that are kind to the environment and avoid harmful chemicals.
“We have implemented numerous green initiatives, such as energy-efficient lighting, water-saving techniques and a recycling program in our previous salon and will strive to do so in our new, bigger premises.
“We also encourage our clients to embrace sustainable practices by offering refillable product options and promoting eco-conscious beauty routines.
“We believe this is so important in today’s world to preserve what we have for future generations.”
