The Friends of the National Railway Museum (North East Branch) are holding a talk on Saturday 21st March.
The talk, which starts at 10.30am, will take place in the McNay Room (Welcome Building, off Hackworth Close) at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon.
The topic for the talk is ‘Steam in and around Darlington’ and the speaker is Chris Nettleton.
Chris will explore local railway history with a presentation, including moving film and sound. The main topic will be the period 1958 to 1966 at Darlington Bank Top Station and North Road Works. Chris will also look at links in the surrounding areas north to Aycliffe and south to Northallerton, east to Saltburn and West to the Stainmore Line.
