The first of our Saturday competitions got under way on Saturday 16 May after having postponed the previous Saturday because of heavy rain, reports Harry Brown.

This was the Dickinson Memorial Trophy (3 wood drawn pairs-Round Robin). Five teams competed. After a great day of bowls Brian Watson and Neville Plews were the winners.
