Shildon Amateur Boxing Club held their second home show of the season on Saturday afternoon at the Civic Hall, reports a spokesperson for the club.

The show was their first since long serving secretary and matchmaker Steve Graham sadly passed away so it was an emotional day to say the least.

There were some great performances in the ring by the younger lads however it was the three senior boxers that stole the show with all three best boxer awards going to Andrew Winter, Shay Glaister and Dylan Robinson.

There was an after show party at Old Shildon Club which was very well attended as the boxers and coaches had a chance to relax after months of preparation.

A massive thank you to all who attended as well as all those involved with helping out on the day.
