Shildon Alive seeks volunteer meals drivers

Shildon Alive is currently working with Age UK and Shildon Town Council to supply and deliver meals on wheels over the winter months to people living in Shildon.

“We are looking for volunteer drivers who may be able to do one delivery a week or one delivery a day,” said Paula Nelson.

“We are currently delivering five rounds with a waiting list. If you are a car owner and think you could spare us up to an hour to support this service, please pop in to Shildon Alive and ask to speak to Paula or Laura.

“This is a very rewarding role and costs will be covered.”
