Scooter Club ride for Air Ambulance

0

The members of Bishop Auckland’s Green Tree Scooter Club’s are gathering together over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd September for a Coast to Coast ride to Whitehaven then on to Seaton Carew next day, in memory of their friend, local Bishop Auckland man, Chris Weighill.

Neil Cowell, speaking on behalf of the club, said: “We hope to raise money for the fantastic Great North Air Ambulance, a service that most scooterists and motorcyclists rely on and hold dear to their hearts.

“We know times are tight, but if your readers can support us with a few pennies then great!

“If not, cheer us on anyway!”

Anyone wishing to donate can do so on the Justgiving page set up to collect funds.

The Club was formed in 2016 and has around thirty members, riding out from the Green Tree public house in Bishop Auckland.

The club meets irregularly each month as members are not always on the same work pattern but anyone interested in finding out more, or in joining the group can contact them via their Facebook page.

Great North Air Ambulance Service provides emergency medical cover for the North of England, North Yorkshire and Cumbria an area of approximately 5500 square miles with a population of 3.5 million people.
