Runners from Shildon Running Club spread themselves across the North East last weekend with attendances in Yorkshire and Northumberland.

Hazel Johnson, Irene Ross, Shannon Ross, Viv Rudge, Ian Rudge, James Ross John Gray, Helen Race and Andie Lowery took part in the PlusNet Yorkshire Ten Mile run.

Donna Dunbar ran a bit further and completed the PlusNet Yorkshire Marathon in a time of 4h 19 mins.

Whilst the majority of the club members headed to York, Si Butterworth took part in the Kielder Marathon in preparation for the Wooler Trail Marathon in November where he is raising money for the Ambulance Services Charity (TASC).

Closer to home, Richard Trowles came fifth in the Hartlepool five mile run with a time of 33m 53s.

Leigh Towers came 8th in the Preston Park 5k with a time of 19m 48s and Dave Beadle completed a very hilly Richmond 10k in 48m 33s.
