Ferryhill Station Royal British Legion Branch members will be decorating the Town Hall and Market Place, with bunting, on Saturday May 3rd from 10am in preparation for VE day 80.
If anyone would like to help, you are invited to please meet outside the Town Hall or you can decorate your own house or premises to add to a display in Ferryhill.
On VE Day, Thursday 8 May at 11am, Ferryhill Methodist Church will be holding a short service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving and will be open for people to have time for reflection, prayer and to light a candle in memory of all who were involved in WWII.
From 11.30am to 3pm, there will be refreshments available and an opportunity to view photographs, memorabilia, etc of VE day 1945, kindly donated by residents of Ferryhill. All are welcome to attend.
