The loss of a loved one can be difficult, especially during the Christmas period. The Post Box to Heaven is available to everyone and is located within Shildon’s West Road Cemetery.
Shildon Town Council have a limited amount of recycled biodegradable paper embedded with seeds which can be collected from the council offices to write your message on.
All letters are confidential and treated with the utmost respect and never opened but shredded once the box is full to allow the letters to be mixed with organic material and composted and spread within the grounds of the cemetery to grow new life in specified areas of the cemetery.
