Taxpayers have been footing the bill for the expenses of North East peers, one of whom is former Bishop Auckland MP, Derek Foster.

Lord Foster of Bishop Auckland did not claim for his main residence, however he did claim expenses that totalled over £61,000 for his 144 days in Parliament.
