Whitworth Church is delighted to welcome Rhapsody Choir for an evening of song, music, and Whitworth’s light refreshments in the interval!
The Autumn Musical Evening will take place on Saturday 18 October from 7.30pm. Tickets for the concert, which will help raise funds for the maintenance of the church, are £9 and can be booked by calling 0191 378 0974 or 01388 816 643.
Parking is available at rear of Whitworth Hall.
“Sadly our lovely Grade II Listed historic church, burial place of Bonnie Bobby Shafto, urgently needs repairs to guttering and pointing to the stonework,” said Vivienne Lowe.
“It isn’t easy trying to raise the funds to maintain old buildings – particularly for a church whose parish consists of only 35 houses – but which is recognised as being a beautiful church in a delightful setting, and one that always offers a warm welcome and good food!”
Meanwhile, it’s Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes time again!
Self assembly boxes and instruction leaflets are now available at St Paul’s and Whitworth Church.
