I would like to thank the Shildon & District Town Crier for publicising our fundraising event on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Charity which took place on Saturday September 28th, and to thank all those who donated raffle prizes including local businesses and individuals, and Elm Road Club for hosting our event.
Many thanks to my good friend Joan and to all my friends from the Jubilee lunch club who helped with the raffle and tombola, which was a great success and to John and Maureen from Crook for their very generous donations.
There are so many kind people in Shildon, without whose support we would not have raised £1,435.80 on the night.
This will help a lot of people with things such as physiotherapy and other much needed assistance delivered by the Weardale branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Charity.
Finally, many thanks to the ‘Travelin Band’ and the disco for their excellent music and entertainment.
