Dear Editor,

I would just like to pass on my sincere thanks to all the people who helped clean and repair the Brawn of Brancepeth plaque at Cleves Cross.

A few weeks back, someone noticed it had fallen off the wall and were kind enough to raise the alarm. Another person picked it up and made sure it was safe and then I cleaned it up nearly to its former glory. Another person has now secured it onto the wall back at the Cleves Cross site where it belongs for everyone to see.

A big thank you also to the wonderful Window Wizard & Cleaning Services who have done a fantastic job cleaning up the area. It looks stunning and gives the town something to be proud of.

Say what you will, but I love the people of Ferryhill!
