Spennymoor Boxing Academy’s Leon Nam boxed last weekend against Jack Brereton from LM Club of Midlands.
Leon returned from holiday in the early hours of the morning and turned up fresh and ready to rumble having kept fit whilst away.
The Pre-quarter Development Championships were held at Boldon Community Centre and Leon sussed his opponent out in a tight first round before stepping up the gears in the second.
Leon inflicted a standing count on his opponent in the third round, leading the referee to stop the contest to the delight of director of coaching Robert Ellis.
Leon will miss the club’s home show this Saturday (14 October) due to the next round of the championships taking place at Birkenhead the following day.
