Ladder centre offers Hope not Hate

Adult and youth group participants from the Ladder Centre visit That Auckland Project’s Faith Museum.

With the arrival of May, the Ferryhill Ladder Centre has announce the launch of its new Hope Not Hate project.

“We’ve already kicked things off with an inspiring trip for our adults and youth group to The Auckland Project’s Faith and Mining Heritage Museums,” said a spokesperson for the centre.

“Over the coming months this project will work with our groups to explore and discuss the key British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance.

“Participants will discover how these values shape our lives, promote community connections, and give people a voice.

“Our adult, child, and youth groups will be taking part in art projects, engaging in discussions in focus groups and participating in educational activities and visits.

“We are very grateful to The Auckland Project for their invaluable support, and to the Point North Mayor’s Fund for their funding, which is making this project possible.

“Would you like to be part of this project? Then please contact the Ferryhill Ladder Centre on 01740 651639 or email us at enquiries[@]ferryhillladdercentre[.]org[.]uk to find out how you can join our social groups and get involved.”
