We are thrilled to announce the launch of Love Lottie, a heartfelt initiative aimed at supporting children and carers of children with mental health challenges, reports Kathryn Stabler.
Love Lottie is where carers and children can come together to share lived experiences, tips and advice on navigating the often complex and challenging journey of children with mental health needs.
Our goal is to create a supportive and understanding community that helps each other through the ups and downs of this journey.
Driven entirely by the passion and dedication of Lottie, my 11-year-old daughter, Love Lottie is a place where children can find comfort and understanding.
Lottie, a student at Thornhill Primary School, wants to help other children like her understand why they may feel the way they do and to know that it’s okay to have those feelings.
Lottie said: “I wanted to create something because I know there are other kids out there who might feel like me.
“It’s not always easy to talk about our feelings, especially when we don’t understand them ourselves.
“But I want you to know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to feel confused, scared, or sad.
“Love Lottie is here to help you understand your feelings a little better and to remind you that it’s okay to feel the way you do.”
