With the eggs donated entirely by members of the supporters club, the team managed to hit their target of a fantastic fifty Easter eggs.
Ray Meek, who delivered the chocolate haul, said he was delighted to be dropping off their large quota: “We all worked hard because we feel it’s important that children in Shildon don’t miss out.”
Lauren Robinson, Community Engagement Officer for Shildon Alive, was thankful for the sweet donation: ”We are so grateful to Shildon and District Sunderland Supporters for all these eggs.
“They will go to children whose parents may not be able to purchase them and to the children who take part in the hungry holiday clubs over Easter.”
