Spennymoor resident Ann Clement is squire of a local Morris Dancing side which danced earlier this year at Spennymoor Gala.
Locos-in-Motion Border Morris will be holding a free dance workshop on Saturday 9 November from 1.30-4.30pm in Sadberge Village Hall.
Ann says: “Come and try your hand (and feet!) at morris dancing in this fun and informal session.
“The afternoon will include a brief introduction about the morris tradition, some demonstration dancing and lots of opportunities to have a go.
“There will also be a break to enjoy some free light refreshment.
“No previous dance experience is necessary – all you need is a sensible pair of shoes and a sense of humour!
“There is no requirement to book a place, however it would be helpful to have an idea of numbers in advance so we can ensure there’s enough cake.”
The workshop is open to all but please note that under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
