Visitors who attended the ‘Have A Go Gala’ at Locomotion, the National Railway Museum at Shildon on Saturday 28th September were invited to find out how they can support the work of the museum through volunteering.
The Gala provided visitors with information packs about the different volunteering roles available, including on the railway, in the workshop, gardens and improving access to vehicles on display. Shildon Model Railway Club demonstrated the model railway layout and visitors were offered the chance to be a ‘diesel driver for a fiver’ at the event.
