The children of Timothy Hackworth Primary School are working hard to raise awareness of the importance of Fairtrade in their local community. To achieve this, during Fairtrade Fortnight a group of children visited local businesses, where they were very well recieved. They sang a song to tell listeners more about fairtrade and read extracts from ‘Stick with Foncho to Make Bananas Fair’.

They also invited local business people to sign the school’s fairtrade banana (pictured) to show their support.
