Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to invite residents and visitors to attend Ferryhill’s Annual Christmas Fayre & Market and official Christmas Lights Switch-on, which will be taking place on Friday, 27th November 2026.
The Fayre will officially commence at 1.00pm with a Christmas Market in the Market Place Car Park,which will be joined at 2.00pm by Children’s Show Rides. At 4.15pm Carol Singing by children from local Primary Schools will take place in the Town Hall garden, which will be followed by the official switch on of the Town’s Christmas Lights at 4.30pm. The honour of switching on the Town’s lights this year will fall to a pupil from Dean Bank Primary School.
The event this year will also include Santa’s Grotto, free face painting and free children’s entertainment, with a Mayor’s Charity Tombola Stall all taking place inside Ferryhill Town Hall from 4.30pm – 6.00pm.
This year, the Town Council will also be hosting a ‘Best Shop Front Christmas Display’ Competition. Traders should watch out for more details over the next couple of weeks.
