Experienced staff are urgently needed by the Team Solan Trust, which helps families when they need it most. Team Solan needs to fill four vacancies to help on the front line of fund raising and care.

Priority is being given to finding a shop manager and an event and fund-raising manager, both in Spennymoor, to help the trust care for any adults or children who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis or bereavement. More management vacancies will be announced later this month.

“There’s more demand for our services today than ever before,” said founder and CEO Mark Solan today. “We need two key people in post as soon as possible.” Both immediate vacancies are for a minimum of twenty hours a week and pay £12.50 an hour. Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience for both roles, excellent communication skills and a full driving licence.

Our staff and volunteers come to the shop or the office knowing their contributions are valued more than words can say. You only need to look at the faces of our Warriors (service users) in the drop-in centre to realise that. We have a small army of unpaid volunteers and I thank them enormously. But they now need the support of experienced management who will help with the upturn in demand for our free support services.”
