The first ever WOW (Women of the World) North East Festival is taking place in 2025 in partnership with S&DR200 (Stockton and Darlington Railway 200 year celebrations) and includes a ‘WOW Think In’, hosted by Shildon Railway Institute.
The Think In event, on Wednesday 5 February at noon, is a chance to shape the very first WOW North East Festival, which will celebrate the women and girls of the region.
Everyone is welcome – no prep is needed. Just bring your ideas, stories, or even just your curiosity and have your say on what the WOW NE
Festival should be about. What ideas can be developed into the programme and what in your opinion are the most relevant topics for women, girls and non-binary people today?
The festival itself will take place on 17 and 18 October at Durham Gala.
