Bishop Auckland College hosted its first Foundation Degree Awareness event, sponsored by Aim Higher, at the College early this month.
The College is a strategic partner of the University of Sunderland and has seen a growth of 51% in student numbers studying Higher Education courses since 2006.
This has led to the College expanding its offer to include Applied Art, Leadership & Management, Education & Care, Complementary Therapies, Computing, Counselling, Health & Social Care, Working with Young People and Creative Technologies for Music Performance.
The event proved a huge success with over 200 people attending seminars and presentations from Higher Education providers in the region including the College and the University of Sunderland.
A prize draw, also sponsored by Aim Higher, was run during the event to win a Flip Video Digital Camcorder.
