Cockton Hill Infants’ School have created a truly magical and enriching environment for its pupils, where creativity, community, and festive joy blend seamlessly.
In November, the school held an art exhibition, where children displayed their own artwork in individual frames.
This was a wonderful example of how the school nurtures artistic expression and provides real-world experiences for its students. Having their art displayed for family members and the wider community to view, and even purchase, was an incredibly rewarding experience for the children.
During the exhibition the children were thrilled to have a visit from local artist, Gaz Miller. The children felt incredibly proud to have their work seen and praised by Gaz.
The event was a perfect example of how the school fosters its values of nurture, experience, respect, and community, allowing children to feel valued, supported, and celebrated.
Governor and previous headteacher, John Redman said: “This was a very successful event for children’s parents and staff and the school was literally buzzing.
“Children have also experienced a magical “Winter Wonderland” which was a delightful and immersive experience, offering both visual beauty and a sense of holiday magic.
“The combination of Christmas trees, reindeers, Santa’s sleigh, giant baubles, and snowflakes created a festive atmosphere which was truly enchanting.
“It’s clear that the school values creating memorable experiences that inspire wonder and joy in the children.
“The four values of nurture, experience, respect, and community are at the heart of everything the school does.
“From encouraging creativity through art to providing opportunities to connect with the wider community, the school fosters a warm, supportive, and enriching environment.”
