Last week, Dean Bank Ambassadors for Community Change were happy to show their new apprentice the importance of their role in Ferryhill. Paul Howell MP joined the Ambassadors as they filled up their dog poo bag dispenser and helped clear up some debris that had been accidentally spilt in the village.
Glenys from Approach Too said: “We would like to say a big thank you to the Co-op and B&M Bargains for talking to the Ambassadors about their decision not to sell fireworks and for supporting the Ambassadors campaign to encourage everyone to look after each other and notify neighbours with pets if they intend to let fireworks off.”
The Ambassadors and their apprentice then visited Dean Bank Park to look at the dog walking area and report back to Ferryhill Town Council. Mr Howell also took the opportunity to listen to some concerns the ambassadors wanted to raise too. All in all, it proved a very busy hour for the ambassadors.
