Last week Ferryhill’s Ambassador’s for Community Change and young people from the Right Thing Litter Picking Project attended Durham County Council’s Environment Awards at Hardwick Park Hotel with Glenys Newby from Approach Too.
Glenys said: “It was a fantastic night and thank you to the young people for their great company.
“Once again, the work that children and young people are doing week in week out is putting Ferryhill on the map for all the right reasons.
“Thank you to Durham County Council and Livin for all their support.”
On the night, Approach Too and the Ambassadors were awarded winners of Volunteer of the Year and the amazing young litter pickers received a Highly Commended for their Right Thing project.
