Former Mayor, Councillor Shirley Quinn, has organised a ‘Volunteering Thank You’ event at the Civic Hall, on Thursday 3 June at 5pm.
Shirley says: “We have many good people who give their time freely in service of others in the town, many of whom I have the honour of knowing and working alongside.
Menu – mince and dumplings, jam sponge and custard. A vegetarian option is available but must be pre- ordered.
“As a volunteer myself I appreciate that events would not happen without the selfless acts of so many.
“I am using some of the funds I have raised throughout the year. The rest will be shared around organisations in the town.
