Spennymoor’s poppy badge goes on sale

This year’s Spennymoor poppy badge, commissioned by a local company to raise money for the Royal British Legion’s (RBL) Poppy Appeal, is on sale from Monday 24 July.

Managing Director of TA Plastics John Humphreys said: “As part of our company’s charity fund raising efforts, we invited British Army veteran Pete Molloy to design the Spennymoor 2023 poppy badge to help us raise money for the RBL’s Poppy Appeal. I am very happy with the design and we aim to raise over £2,500.”

The cost of this year’s pin is £3. All profits go to the RBL’s Poppy Appeal and can be purchased from The Black Horse, Hockings Butchers, Kandy Kaye, Devere’s Barber Shop, Wetherspoons, The Studio, The Voltigeur, Spennymoor Working Men’s Club, The Penny Gill, The Brewers Arms, Middlestone Moor Working Men’s Club, The Sweet Shop, Advanced Windows and Spennymoor Town Football Club.
