Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to announce that the latest organisation to benefit from the council’s Members Initiative Fund is Ferryhill School, who recently attended a cheque presentation at Ferryhill Town Hall, where a representative from the school, Leanne Harris, was presented with a cheque for £100 from Councillor Curtis Bihari’s MIF allocation.
Monies provided through the MIF will be used to fund the purchase and printing of hoodies for children attending a forthcoming trip to Borneo as part of their geography and biology studies.
Councillor Bihari said: “I am delighted to be able to support Ferryhill School with this project, which will provide an identifiable piece of clothing for children attending an important and exciting educational trip.”
