Ferryhill’s Ambassadors for Community Change would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Now is the time people start new year resolutions and the Ambassadors have a couple of suggestions to help make Ferryhill a cleaner and safer place.
Glenys from Approach Too, who supports the Ambassadors in their community work said: “Why not pick up one piece of litter a day for the rest of 2025? If everyone picked up one piece of litter a day, Ferryhill would have over 9,000 litter pickers.
“So make it your resolution to pick up one piece of litter in front of your house, street, at the pub, before school, in the park, wherever you like.
“Also the Ambassadors are asking all dog owners to make it their New Year’s Resolution to pick up their dog’s mess,” added Glenys.
“This week the Ambassadors will be topping up their Dog Poo Bag Dispensers, so if you forget your dog poo bags, don’t leave your dog’s mess for others to stand in.
“Bags can be found in the dispensers outside the schools.
“The Ambassadors would like to thank Ferryhill Town Council for their support too.”
