The next Bishop Auckland Music Society concert will take place on Friday 3 June. It will be held at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church, with a start time of 7.30pm.
Ensemble Hesperi will be the performers for the concert titled From Caledonia to the Capital. They are a group of young musicians who met during their time at the Royal College of Music in London and specialise in Baroque music.
Handell and Purcell pieces, plus a trio by Charles Avison, organist of Newcastle Cathedral and an influential concert promoter in the area, will also be included.
Tickets are £14 in advance from Brotherton’s Music Shop and are also available by contacting Brian Varley on 07415 092040. Otherwise, tickets are £16 on the door.
